Good facilities and conducive environment
This is Nursing Department, Abia state university. It's a full department on under the faculty of health sciences offering a Bachelor's degree program in Nursing science which includes a midwifery training program. The course runs for a period of 5 years and is a professional course. The basic requirements for admission into this department is credit in 5 core science courses (WAEC/NECO) and a JAMB score of 200. School fees for this course is currently at #112,000 per academic session. It's quite an okay course to study albeit a bit stressful.
And this is because you not only study for a bachelor's like most other people, you're also studying to become a Registered Nurse (RN), a Registered Midwife(RM) and if possible a Registered Health Practitioner (RHP), so the struggle is real. My advice to aspirants is to buckle up from the first year, because once you have a good grip of your first year courses, the rest become quite an easy slide. Enjoy.
