Left ikom where my hotel was and took a bike for about 40mins to Alok Monoliths, we passed by a village where the bike man told us they just finish fighting war about a month ago , got to the village ,on entering the village the youth at the entrance made it known to us that the person in charge of the Monoliths just passed so we can't just walk in there now so we head to the chief's house whom wasn't at home but we met his son that volunteer to take us there on getting there ,the curator is no where to be found ,so I only took picture from outside . I noticed a market by the left hand side ,stopped by ,shop a little and head on . Meanwhile on my way going I already spot the Monoliths junction symbols so I stopped there to take pictures and head back to the hotel in ikom

The Ikom monoliths with their geometric inscriptions could be compared to the rock Arts of Tanzania. The meanings of the codified symbol are known to only the artists. These are also associated with their origin, which is like most rock art works in Africa. Ikom monoliths could be West Africa's answer to United Kingdom's Stonehenge.

This is a UNESCO world heritage site and has about 300 carved stones standing upright in circles facing each other with texts and Images inscribed on it.
