The place is very beautiful, history of old Calabar show cased beautifully especially the building that was shipped in parts from Britain. Epic
Its very sad that the museum has good artifacts but they management is very bad. It wasn't even opened & you cant even take pictures ☹☹... honestly it's a national museum and they should be able to do more
Totally worth a visit I love the fact that its in one of the colonial building and as such the building is a monument itself. The location as provides a very nice view of the river.
Our entrance fee included a guide. The museum has 6 different galleries addressing colonial, old Calabar, palm oil product, road to independence. Its definitely worth visit
A touch of undiscovered history, creaky floors, amazing photos and diverse range of historical photographs and artifacts. The river sets the scene of as the original entry point into Nigeria.
National Museum, Calabar is one of the best museums in the southern part of Nigeria. It houses many relics and facts that survived the British colonial and slave trade era. It's a sure place to visit. So, when you're in Cross River State, make it a duty to visit the museum as this adds an icing to your visit and refreshes your historical memory.
