Nice hotel. Nice location. It is well located in the heart of Calabar night life- Atekong Junction. You can visit any of the numerous bars and clubs at Atekong junction and easily walk back to Vanel hotel, even by 3:00AM. If you wish to stay in the hotel bar, it also has a nice outfoor bar with moderately loud music. Calabar Carnival tourists and visitors also love this place because, it is a walking distance to the major Calabar Carnival demonstration and display point called the Governor stand. At the Calabar carnival stand, all the major dignitaries sit here to watch the dance bounds perform and outperform each other!
