Initial impression I got from the person who recommended this place was, it was a good place for an overnight stay. Didn't live up to its billing. It's a boutique hotel. Small, but well furnished. No signage outside, so you wouldn't know it's there if you were just passing. Spent a night on 27 November 2020. My issues started from the front desk. Zero porter service. Had to lug my bags up the stairs by myself. Twice. Not that there was no one at the front desk. The receptionist was there. There was a young man (or two) dressed in porter's garb. They just stared at me as I passed with my bags. They didn't think someone should have come to the car to ask if I had bags to carry. The a/c in my room wasn't cooling well. If you like a cold room, don't stay in Rm 024. I called maintenance to look at it. They came quickly enough and got it to work. They assured me the problem was solved and it would still be working when I came back from the function I was attending. When I returned, the a/c was not working. I called maintenance again, they said they'd be right up. No one showed up till morning. Worse, no one called to explain why or to apologize when I checked out. To make matters worse, security knocked on my door a few minutes past midnight (luckily I hadn't slept) to ask me to move my car!! Someone wanted to go out and my car was blocking the way. The parking space is quite small and cars had to park behind each other. They woke up another guest and both of us had to back our cars out for the exiting guest to move out. The Front Desk ought to have had the presence of mind to ask us to leave our keys so our cars could be moved. Or at least warned us before we turned in for the night. Overall, it was shoddy customer service. Took a whole lot away from the hotel amenities, most of which were quite nice. However, lack of thorough maintenance is beginning to show in some of the fittings. The mattress in my room was soft and saggy in the middle. My wife woke up with a back pain and headache. I was luckier, no headache. The customer service was the deal-breaker for me. My wife shared some of these thoughts with the front desk before we left. I hope the management sees this review and either makes personnel changes or trains them better. I will probably stay here one more time to see if there are changes. If none, it's bye-bye.

Very serene location and facility. Doesn't look like much from the outside but very comfortable.
