Oasis Insurance was acquired by FBN General Insurance Ltd in 2014. The Company was jointly owned by FBN Insurance Ltd and Sanlam of South Africa. While FBN Insurance Ltd owned 65% of the share, Sanlam had 35%. The Company grew it's income under the Management of MD/CEO Bode Opadokun from 1.2bn to 7.3bn between 2016 and 2019. In 2020, FBN Holdings sold its entire 65% share to Sanlam making Sanlam the sole owner of the Company.Although, change of name is yet to be fully effected, the Company is presently addressed as "FBN General Insurance Ltd, a member of Sanlam Group", FBB General Insurance Ltd was certified as a great place to work in 2018.
