By 6pm there's no one at the front desk to attend to you. Its possible they are trying to switch to the 24hrs cycle. However, its best you get there before 5pm.
Appointments get moved for days, even then, they don't keep to the time given to you. If you have to use this laboratory best believe you'll be kept waiting for hours, so its better you cancel all Appointments for that day.
