A fantastic lake! Although I am not a watersports enthusiast myself, a visit to the Sneekermeer is a very pleasant experience (and actually this applies to the Frisian Lakes in general). The Sneekermeer, located in the heart of Friesland, is a destination that has everything to offer: sailing (especially during the water sport and party event of the Sneekweek), relaxing (floating on the water or by the side of the lake), and culture (in the nearby, pleasant town of Sneek). The central location of this lake makes it a good base for a multi-day boat trip on the Frisian Lakes, rivers and canals. A very nice form of relaxation.

Super chilled lake in Friesland during the week. It might get crowded on weekends. Sneek is close and a good place for shopping fresh food or other stuff
