The Water Lily is a super fun school! The school has a continuous schedule and during the break all kinds of fun activities are organized for the children such as: crafts, zumba, yoga and free running. English is taught in all groups. The professional gym teacher is there on Friday and gives very nice gym lessons. Since this school year, the school has a new schoolyard with all kinds of fun colors and play equipment. The teachers and masters are very nice and there is a cozy atmosphere in the school. All parents are also welcome to come and see the lessons in the group, so that they can get an impression of how things are going.

De Waterlelie is a very nice school! The square was completely renovated in August 2013 with input from the children. The school team is very involved and enthusiastic. Every year there is a large BBQ for all parents and children, it is one big party! Parents are very strongly represented and involved, both the Works Council and the MR are running at full speed. Children find it a safe place, go to school with pleasure and come home with enthusiastic stories about the masters, the teachers and the lessons.

There are 2 teachers at this school where you really do not want to have your child in class. Children are barked and they are shouted loudly. Children come home with stories that a child works a bit slowly in the way of the teacher and the teacher then falls so hard against them that they start crying. This does not happen once but several times a week, every child sometimes does something "wrong" and it is then his turn. And I'm not talking about starting adolescents from group 8, but children in groups 4, 5. Also, the whole class gets punishment if 1 child does something wrong. I thought that was stopped in 1950, but things like that still do teachers. Parents do complain amongst themselves, but nobody dares to take it to the management, because these teachers would really catch your child back. Half the class goes to school with stomach aches. I am glad that this school year is almost over.

Openness, honesty, together and secure, that is the Water Lily in a few words. These are the experiences of our children and we, as parents, are very satisfied with that. Openness, because everything is negotiable and as a parent you can be involved in everything, whenever you indicate or want to. Rooms are open during class whenever possible, rest in the classes, no closed doors. Honesty, because teachers really think along with your child and take us along as a parent in the development. Without wanting too much or too little for the child. We have fully cooperated in applying for 'a backpack' and experienced the openness and honesty there. There is regular consultation with parents (active parent council) and students (a real student council) and employee participation. There is involvement with parents and students. People listen and you receive a response to feedback. As a parent you are connected to the school and that feels safe. School is after all an extension of 'home', so the latter in particular is very important to me as a parent.
