It is a very nice store with a highly competent staff. You will get a good service and advise. I highly recommend this store.
I bought two CUBE bikes there, a city-touring one and a race one. In both cases the personnel did a great job, recommending what I was looking for and also pointing out good-value-for-money options. After some time I'm still very happy with both of them. I also took there two older bikes for repair (which I had bought somewhere else) and they also did a good job there. In my view, one of the top bike stores in Delft.
I have a bike that needed some repairs. The man in charge took a quick look and judged that my bike is not safe to ride and not worth fixing.
Only option left is to buy a new bike. I asked for smaller repairs to get the bike road worthy. But he waved my ideas aside because it is not worth it. Why, did he think that? He quoted 80 euros to change the brake pads. And dismissed the idea himself! If you judge the bike not road worthy because the wheels are not aligned properly and the brake pads are worn out, can you at-least work with me? Think a bit about my safety. How about fixing the brakes on one side, front or rear? Why assume that I do not have money to afford even a simple repair? Spare a thought about the class of people who do not have hundreds of euros just lying about in their left pocket.
Okay, I will admit that I am angry at the way I was treated. Being shunned away is not a nice feeling. If I would be told that a rusty bike is untouchable, basic repairs to brakes are not something that stimulates him or his business I would have understood. Atleast that would have been honest. I keep wracking my brain to come up with why someone would treat a potential customer that way. It just cannot be a good business model. Sign outside says that they repair "alle merken fietsen". NOT true. If you are bringing your bike to them make sure that it is presentable and just in case have a few hundred euros to buy a bike because the guy in charge has an expert opinion. You know what he isn't actually wrong, I do need a new bike. And the shop... it definitely has one of the better inventories of bikes in the delft area. But after today morning's repartee, they have lost my business. Damnit! Its actually close to my office, I would have bought a bike and used their services for regular maintenance. It would have been perfect for me.
This is not even the first time that this has happened. Last summer I had a similar experience with the same guy! I just gave up on the older bike. I do not leave reviews like this. Once again I admit, I am angry while I write this. I kinda hope that they improve their service. Or maybe I just wrote a wall of text for a business that could NOT care less. oh well. buyer beware.
Today, I discovered a flat tire and I called De Wolf to get information regarding the price for the reparation and the availability. They informed a price of 20 euros and to be ready this afternoon. Then, I took my bike and I went to the shop, for my surprise, suddenly price raised to 25 euros and it would be ready for tomorrow. Maybe they are busy, but my time is also valuable and this kind of situations are very unprofessional.
Ridiculously overpriced. De wolf, as in a wolf hunting for you money. If you want to pay too much for your bike parts and want your inside tires to be replaced with second hand stuff I would recommend to go to this place. FOR QUALITY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
