Great place with nice ambiance and enthusiastic hostess. The 3 course lock-down take-out menu is very tasty and such that you can easily do final heating at home.

Very friendly people with tasty take-out. Go here to have a hyper local beer and a view on the busiest shipping canal in the world.

Only tried take away, this was in collaboration with another restaurant. Unfortunately, the dishes of that restaurant were a bit disappointing. The dishes from Buiten bij de lock were well flavored. Also walked by a few times for a coffee to go, nice coffee. I can't wait until the terraces can open again to enjoy the beautiful place and try out even more of the menu. Another tip: make it even more clear along the water that you are open for coffee to go etc. and whether you are open or not, because this is difficult to see when you walk along the waterfront. I have already (almost) seen a number of people walk away because they thought it was closed, and that is a shame because I wish you this beautiful place in these difficult times.

Ordered 5x 3-course menu today. Very simple procedure, nice and clear. Really good quality, quantity and price food. I was a bit dreadful about preparing it myself. That was unnecessary and actually quite fun! Thank Melanie.

They bake delicious fries, crispy and not greasy! Coffee is nice too. Service is super hospitable.
