Protestantse Kerk COTHEN

On the Kromme Rijn this historic church with a modest, small tower. The Heren van Rijnestein (small castle across the street) had a small cross church built here in the 15th century, of which, if you look closely, the original material can still be seen in a number of places. Later the French came to the Netherlands, and here too, rather housekeeping. The tower was removed during the rebuilding. A restoration in 1980, where the interior was given an almost cheerful blue color.

Beautiful little church

Beautiful church and recently renovated. I was here for the monthly music performance. Crowded and very worthwhile.
