My experience as a parent-participant board member or board member with this school is positive. A passionate director, management team, certainly also motivated teachers and students, especially those who are part of this employee participation body. Fascinating to also make students enthusiastic and enthusiastic. I have been impressed by the drive to continuous improvement. Perhaps some (earlier) reactions are motivated by first seeing and then believing. I certainly believe in it. Improving also means changing. That takes time, adjustment time. For students, management and teachers.

Schoonoord Mavo Doorn, I could not have wished for a better school. The small-scale character of the school contributes optimally to the fact that the contact between the pupil and teacher is and remains as personal as possible. With this, Schoonoord Doorn shows the pupil at the center, thereby achieving that children / young people can and dare to express themselves to their own identity. I did not feel uncomfortable or unsafe for a moment during the four years I was at Schoonoord. This has ensured that I traveled to Doorn with a good feeling at all times. From my personal experience I will advise anyone who is looking for a secondary school to study the vision and mission of Schoonoord Mavo Doorn!

In contrast to the other secondary school here in Doorn, Schoonoord really does all it takes to get all qualities from a pupil. We have seen that with our son who, in 4 years' time via VMBO-KB, without being seated, could move on to Mavo, with an extra holiday for his final exams. Also experienced strong personal involvement with the teachers. Absolutely recommended, 5 stars.
