Yesterday I took a seat on the terrace again and I share the opinion of others. The service really leaves something to be desired. Not attentive and if you do not call or beckon yourself, the chance is small that you will be helped. Sloppy for a new concept. Even when waitresses put their hair back in a ponytail in the middle of the terrace and then serve meals again, it is not very convenient or hygienic. The food is not really special and very sparse indeed for the price that has to be paid. The price could be a bit lower. In another review I read something about the right to exist at lower prices. If there are good employees around, you can do that with fewer people and the price for the food can be reduced. If there are several reviews about the employees over a period of a few weeks and the reviews continue to be about the same subject, then something is not quite right, I think, but that is an assumption. We will come back for the terrace and a drink. I don't expect to eat here again soon because the price and quality are out of proportion.

This is really bad, just informing how things are going is polite. *** Yesterday we had dinner at the Gooische Kip We had half a chicken for 12.50, no supplements, so that had to be ordered extra. Not opted for this because then half a chicken becomes very pricey. We ordered the Chicken with Oriental marinade. The chicken had no taste, the meat too dry. The skin was very soft. Chicken from the grill should have a nice crispy skin. It seems that the Eastern marinade is being refined afterwards. The nachos with "pulled chicken" at € 8+ should not have the name. Under the pile of chips are some chicken chips, you have to look for them. A bland bite to which more authentic flavor can be added, eg a pepper, coriander or a salsa for dipping. ** More serious in nature, one of us woke up sick this morning, all symptoms of a food infection present. We did not eat anything after the visit to the Gooische Kip. We have doubts about the hygiene rules in the kitchen, but also those of the waiting staff. There is no 1.5 meter distance from each other here. They are more busy with themselves or with each other than with the guests. For now it is time to recover and will not dare to eat here anymore. A shame because the location is very nice.

How bad! I ordered chicken satay myself. This one was very tasteless, chicken was bland and the satay sauce was watery and really didn't taste like satay sauce. There were people behind us who had the same experience. Have also indicated this but nothing has been done with it. It came with a small tray of chips that looked a bit like waste chips and it was very little too. My husband ordered the tenderloin for 10 euros. It was 5 pieces of meat and a very small bowl of salad. This really wasn't worth 22 euros. In short, what a joke, I will never come here again. The only positive was the nice girls in the service.

Last Sunday we had a nice drink at De Gooische Kip. What a super nice place. You can sit on a large terrace, in the shade or in the sun ... plenty of choice. In the meantime, enjoy watching people and expensive cars ;-) In addition, they have a nice conservatory with lounge set where you can also sit very nicely. The 4 of us had the snack platter, cheese platter, chicken and nachos. All so tasty .... definitely recommended. In addition to all the tasty snacks, you can also drink delicious vinos and beers here. All in all ... had a great afternoon. Very nice staff, nice, attentive and ready for a chat. Everything taken care of. We will definitely come again .... :-)
