Chinees Indisch Restaurant Peking Huizen

I have previously complained about the fact that the supply of chinese take-out / restaurants has become very sparse in Huizen. That is still the case today, perhaps partly due to covid-19. This take-out restaurant is (was) my regular place for the portions of Chinese to eat at home for years. Until a few years ago, due to a serious accident, the owner, also the cook, was no longer able to work and other owners came. It is well known that the cook is very important with regard to the taste of the products and a new cook means a different taste. There is nothing you can do about it, every cook makes his own food in his own way. Still, not much changed in taste except that it was not constant. Sometimes it was perfect, but sometimes it wasn't. For example, that the meat was much too salty or that the contents of the containers were not consistent. In dishes where the sauce is important, it often happened that there was almost no sauce, and eating dry meat with dry rice is not tasty. That is why I started looking for a better Chinese in the vicinity of Huizen, but none of them could get my approval. At Peking in the Bijvanck, the menu lists babi pangang dry meat, for some who do not know the term dry meat, dry meat means little fat. Well, if this is called dry meat, I am curious what is understood by non-dry meat. I think that about 25 percent of the meat consists of fat, now and then a block of fat on the meat is nothing wrong with that, but a quarter of the meat was fat, but according to the menu it is dry meat. The chinese restaurant in the eastermeent does have dry meat. Very dry even chewy, ppffffff. So tough it was not normal to eat. Actually due to corona my chinese take out meal had dropped to zero. But now I thought to visit this collection point again but still the same result. The meat of the babi pangang was so salty that it started to work after five bites. I think you know it, you think the first bite is still good, the second bite is already saltier and after the fifth bite you think where is the click. Too bad, but I have to admit that if it were a little less salty, this would be the best pick-up point in Huizen for me. Compared to the others, this one is the least bad. With less salt it would get five stars from me, certainly not now. So to the cook at this pick-up point, use less salt, if it's too bland I can always throw in some salt myself. Better a little too little than too much. In my family there is someone with diabetes, if she took one bite she would have to be treated on the spot. (I think).
