In the first instance, my partner and I decided to look for wedding rings in a 'standard' store. This is the easiest and most logical step, but we soon realized that this was not what we had in mind. At the start of our relationship, we created relationship rings that do not run parallel. My engagement ring was selected with the same approach and so we wanted that to be reflected in our wedding rings. That simply proved to be impossible at the stores where we had looked. We were almost to the point where we would choose something that we were not really happy with until we met Guido at a trade show. Made an appointment and we could go quickly. After the first conversation we were immediately up. It is so personal and so creative, in addition to having beautiful rings as the end result, the process is also really fun to experience. At the first appointment, Guido outlined our ideas and we also saw different materials with which we could have this made. We chose on that basis and then the process really started. Test models, fitting, adapting and finally retrieving. I have not seen a wedding ring with anyone like us today and it is exactly what we had in mind, but that was simply not possible with a regular jeweler. With the knowledge of today we would no longer go to a regular jeweler, but to Guido (of course not anymore for wedding rings;)). The personal contact ensures that it becomes a very personal project and that the result is satisfactory. In addition, Guido is very enthusiastic, patient and friendly. You feel immediately at ease and that is nice if you work on something so personal. The past period was so special and the result is exactly what we wanted to achieve that we heartily recommend Custom Jewelry Eerden!
