It is clean and accessible for all. Not crowdy, but very close to city centre and tourist attractions. Station is long so better stay in the middle in case there will be shorter metro train. There are 3 lines departing from the station. Each line's train departs in average every 10 minutes.
I love the piano radio that plays in this station. I think it’s the only station in Amsterdam that has this feature and it’s pretty cool!
Nieuwmarkt metro station at Amsterdam is the closest to go to dam square where all the magic happen. The station has good connectivity in terms of all the 3 major lines. The station is small and maintained well, seating benches are less but you probably would wait only for maximum 10 minutes.
