Read lots of negative feedbacks here and I was really scared when was going to register my new home address in Bussum. When I come to Gemeente on Monday (walk-ins without appointments are welcome on Mondays) I was impressed by helpfulness of personnel, ticket system (in Dutch, but someone will help you to find what you need). All my questions were resolved: registration of foreign marriage certificate, registration of me and my wife in apartments. Everything fast, professional and with smile. This time (today) I went to apply for foreign driver license exchange and I can say absolutely same things: helpful counter selected proper ticket for me, lots of space to wait in line (I was waiting 15 minutes), quiet and nice atmosphere - my documents were accepted during just 5 minutes. Thank you Gooise Merent Gementee employees!

Went to register in the Town Hall. They are very helpful and the process was a breeze.

I have been here 3 times now to register in this church. Day 1 call yes everything can be arranged at the desk. blonde troubled secretary says that what the receptionist says on the phone is not correct. If only it had to do via the internet. If I could, I would, but you better do this kind of dinner personally. I did not have a copy of my passport, but did have my passport with me. Or they could scan that. No. Was possible at my previous municipality. Day 2 I deliver a copy and registration form to a nice secretary. Everything is now arranged for you madam super. Have contact with the tax authorities. 3 weeks later. No, you are still at the old address. What. I call the municipality and get a non-cooperative blonde on the phone. I got no help if I had to do it via the internet. I just wanted to know how far my registration was, it could take a month from registration. But got no info they didn't over the phone. Can I make an appointment? No, you have to do that via the internet. No, I want an appointment. After pushing through I got an appointment. Day 3 no you are not registered here at all, says Ms Civil Affairs. You cannot do this at the desk for this you need an appointment. Uh that's not what the ladies at the desk told me. And purchase contract on the form was only copy valid id. Which form we do so that you do not have to do it via the internet or appointment. So how are we going to fix this now. I have to go to work soon and the receipt has to get my new address asap so that they can send me my mail and I can pay my bills. We cannot help you without a purchase contract. I call notary and hehe they finally help me. And I only have to send it, but I will be registered in advance. If they really do. I don't trust them anymore. And hope I never have to go here again. I will marry or have children in another municipality if appropriate. What a bunch of disorganized uncomunicative mess. I just have to be able to register when I move. I finished an hour at my previous congregation and it has been going on for weeks now. I am not easily rattled I normally have a lot of patience with my job as a dog groomer, but I have been stamping feet and fire-breathing on this 3 times. And it didn't even have to do with corona these blocking rules. They just didn't do it in this church like they did in my last church. So that's 1 star if I could give zero ...
