Good homemade Surinamese food

Best and tastiest Surinamese roti specialist I know. In 3 words, fresh, clean and blissful. The extended version: Always fresh real long beans with vegetables instead of the cheaper cabbage or green beans that I get elsewhere. The fresh chicken is made in such a way that it is always nice and tender and tastefully seasoned so that I can also chew the bones (delicious marrow). The record is exactly as it should be. Even the potato is right, not the dry variety, but the solid variety that has absorbed the flavor of the delicious curry gravy. And to top it all off you get, if you want, a box with a nice fragrant real Madame Jeanette sambal :). I think this is a very good price / quality ratio. There is plenty of room to eat Corona proof if you don't want takeout (there is of course more on the menu than roti) and there are nice Surinamese souvenirs on the wall. If I have to look at a critical mini-point like this, can I only think that the owner might seem a bit out of humor every now and then? But with such delicious food prepared by mothers in the kitchen, that is amply forgiven! They also sell Surinamese drinks such as tamarid syrup, ginger beer and Fernandes. Highly recommended as far as I'm concerned.

We had roti lamb special and bami lamb. It was a lot of food, the next day we ate it again. Tasty cucumber / tomato relish (the salty kind! Delicious!) And 2 types of sambal. Next time for sure, because there are many more choices than roti and noodles.

Delicious large sandwiches ... a pity that it is pricey! 3.50 for a sandwich! Price quality is normal ..

Taste is good, nice and spicy. It is a pity that in a bakkeljouw sandwich was a baked fly. That is a reason for us never to come back.
