Camping De Brummel

Neat campsite with very friendly owners. Good clean sanitary facilities where corona rules are properly implemented. Spacious pitches and some with a piece of artificial grass in front. Beautiful cycling and walking environment. The village of Eerbeek is close by with a good butcher and Jumbo. Downside on Sunday a lot of barking from dogs that are let out in the back of the forest.

Camping de Brummel is a simple but well-maintained farm campsite. Equipment: The campsite has 20 spacious places for the camper, caravan or tent. There are spacious showers / toilets (now in the corona crisis you can register for a shower which works very well and there are flags that you have to take with you when you go to the toilet). Disabled people are well taken into account. There is an electricity point for every camping pitch and there are many water taps. Next to the sanitary building is an area with a small refrigerator where camping users can put something if they wish. There is also a tumble dryer and coffee is served on Tuesdays to get to know each other. There are also a few picnic tables available (often already at places), there is a trampoline and some children's toys for general use. Next to the campsite is the large milking parlor. When you are 'unlucky', like us, you are standing next to the milking parlor. With a tent as a camping means, earplugs are not enough if you want to sleep a little until eight o'clock ... At seven we wake up every morning while enjoying the bellowing cows and the farmer who calls to his cows. Daily eggs and milk are for sale on the section. Environment: this campsite is located in a wide / wooded area. There is some forest right next to the campsite, and by foot / bicycle / car you can discover all kinds of places of interest (nature / cultural / catering) from + - 4 km. In the neighborhood you have various castles, estates, tourist attractions such as the Loenen waterfalls, beautiful hiking areas, etc. The center of Eerbeek is a kilometer away and there are many villages around it to explore. Atmosphere: the campsite has a friendly atmosphere. The age is generally a bit higher, you don't see many young people there. Everyone has time for a chat. You can watch and sometimes even help with the farm work such as feeding, milking and moving the cows. General impression: a well-maintained, simple campsite for people who don't mind getting up 'early'. If you like nature, cultural heritage and catering, this is a great place to explore the area. Very centrally located. All special places are within cycling range. The campsite itself is very atmospheric, even the steam train passes.
