It's a very convenient town. Easy to take a train to Amsterdam central from here. Although it's a small station, but there are lots of restaurants around here. Close enough to Amsterdam if you stayed here, it'll save you a lot of accommodation fees.

A very pleasant town with many dining options on the cow market. On Tuesdays there is a market in the city center. Most shops are concentrated in the Willem Eggert center, but a tour through the city center still yields enough shops.
