In August 2020 we cycled the 'culinary' elfstedentocht, booked with FrieslandHolland Travel Service BV. from Wolvega. We opted for the most expensive variant, namely an overnight stay in 3 or 4 star hotels and a culinary 3-course menu in the evening in the relevant hotel. Only in the WTC hotel in Leeuwarden have we enjoyed an excellent culinary 3-course menu. In all other hotels we received the same three-course meal as travelers who had booked for the non-culinary variant and therefore for a considerably lower amount with FrieslandHolland or other travel organizations. With the exception of the WTC in Leeuwarden, the quality of a number of overnight hotels also left much to be desired, in our opinion not worthy of 3 stars. In our opinion, FrieslandHolland travel has not lived up to what they sell for a considerable additional price. Only after 4 emails did FrieslandHolland Travel Service BV want to respond and that only resulted in angry reactions. In the meantime, they have removed this culinary variant from their website. Never again Friesland Holland Travel Service BV!

In August 2020 we cycled the Elfstedentocht 'culinary'. Booked with Friesland Holland Travel Service BV. From Wolvega. We went for the most expensive variant, namely overnight stay in 3 or 4 star hotels and a culinary 3 courses menu. Only in the WTC hotel in Leeuwarden have we enjoyed an excellent culinary menu. In all other hotels, the menus were certainly not culinary and they were the same as the guests who had booked the non-culinary variant with FrieslandHolland or other travel organizations, for a considerably lower amount. With the exception of the WTC, the quality of a number of overnight hotels also left much to be desired, in our opinion not worthy of 3 stars. The FrieslandHolland organization has since removed the culinary variant from its site. We contacted the organization, but that only led to angry reactions.

The 11 city tour cycling (with several overnight stays) was a great experience! Because we took a selfie of all fountains, my 14 year old son and I received a nice memory. Thank you!

Cullinaire Elfstedentocht booked with a stay in a different hotel every day and a cullinair dinner on the spot. Trip started above our expectations. Hotel Jans offered a neat, contemporary room and a true culinary dinner. Most of the following hotels turned out to be dated, outdated and some with mold in the bathroom. The dinners were not equally culinary everywhere, nachos from a bag from the supermarket as a starter I do not exactly call culinary. The length of the different bike tours was also very far apart, one day 80 km, the next day 25! We have then drawn up a balanced cycling program based on the cycling junctions ourselves. The only positive thing is that we received a super good cycling map from Friesland Holland so that we were able to customize this trip ourselves.

In August we cycled the Elfstedentocht 'culinary'. We have booked these with Friesland Holland Travel Service B.V. from Wolvega. We consciously chose the 'culinary' variant, which was considerably more expensive than the 'normal' one. Unfortunately we only enjoyed the W.C.T. in Leeuwarden from an excellent culinary 3-course menu. In all other hotels we received the same meals as the people who had booked a 'normal' trip. They had paid considerably less for their arrangement with the same organization. We are deeply disappointed in this. After we have submitted several complaints, we saw that our culinary variant has been removed from their website. A CLEAR SIGN ON THE WALL. We recommend that you no longer use this organization.
