We had a delicious meal in the Waard van Dokkum. Each dish was tastefully, stylishly decorated and accompanied by an original and beautiful glass of wine. The restaurant is beautifully situated on the Markt and tastefully decorated. Like many restaurants in Corona time, they only work with a menu of x number of courses. The service was friendly, but their style varied from neat to very informal ("Do you know wine? Do you drink it often? No? Okay, this is a Verdejo from Spain, if you want to know more just ask . ”). That improved somewhat during the evening. For a culinary evening in Dokkum, De Waard will not disappoint.

Beautiful here, and what a luxury! Maître Salvartore Apuzzo welcomed me and the service was very friendly and spontaneous. The cappuccino tasted delicious (very strong) And everything inside is breathtakingly beautiful.
