It’s best to write in advance as the site does occasionally close for vacation. It’s wonderful work by Smithson and far easier to access than Spiral Jetty

This artwork has opened my eyes. I finally understand why people love art. It's not about what it is but what it means. Each work of art has its own meaning for everyone. It holds you like a good book. The stone in the center represents the interior of someone who is broken. The rings of sand are the masks that someone can wear because they don't want to show their grief. I could let myself go here for a moment as if I had ended up in another world. It pleases me that even nowadays there are still places where you can relax.
