When I called my own doctor, I got an automatic voice telling me that I could make an appointment with one of the other observing GPs, since my own practice was closed. However, when I contacted Dr. Gevaert's practice, I was told by his assistant that they only wanted to help patients in emergencies. Very strange, since my own doctor gave me another emergency number due to the automatic voice. Surely acting doctor does not mean that they can only help in emergencies ?! When I told them it couldn't really wait (due to work, etc), I was told by the assistant that this was not their problem. I then called the next acting doctor (in Kloetinge), who was able to make an appointment immediately. The argument for emergencies was therefore apparently nonsense. It is ridiculous that a doctor and his assistant do not want to do their job!
