Bed & Breakfast Trouwborst

Just the two of us out and about, and we ended up at this beautiful B & B beautifully situated along the Rhine. The room was very neat and nicely decorated. And the bed slept wonderfully! The garden is an oasis of peace. The breakfast was well arranged and very tasty. This Bed & Breakfast is definitely recommended!

We really enjoyed this Bed & Breakfast. After a friendly welcome we could sit in the garden on the picnic tables along the Rhine. What a view! Breakfast was also very well arranged, a buffet where we could compose our own breakfast. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The only downside were other guests who let their dogs walk around everywhere and did not pay attention to this at all. Very antisocial. But of course the B&B cannot do much about this. Fortunately, the owner listened to our complaints and took immediate action. After several warnings from the owner, these guests also left earlier than planned. Perfect for us of course! They had no regard for us and other guests at all. The B&B is a must for anyone who wants to experience Italy in the Netherlands!

Horror B&B Trouw Borst This B&B is one to avoid. The venue is a "death trap" for small children and the owner snaps her guests. We, a family with a toddler and a well-behaved family dog, are aware that we are taking up space. That is why we had specially looked for a place where dogs are welcome and that is suitable for small children. We thought we found this through “nature house.nl” in the “luxury family apartment” at this B&B. Upon arrival, it turned out that the balustrade bars were so far apart that our daughter could fall through. A twine solution took several hours. During that time we could therefore not install ourselves in the apartment. At the bottom of the stairs, a stair gate is missing. The first morning a painter stood with his head painting through the kitchen and bathroom window. This while my wife and I went to the bathroom unclothed. These activities continued until the afternoon. When our daughter had to take her nap, we closed the windows (for privacy and paint fumes). Immediately the owner was at the door to reprimand us. The grounds of this B&B are completely unsafe for children: the swimming pool and ponds are not fenced off and are a risk of drowning. The garden is filled with many wooden structures (bridges, terraces, platforms, aqueducts). All have major overdue maintenance. Rusty nails are sticking out, planks are rotten or loose. The same applies to the many loose terrace tiles. Despite the fact that the B&B advertised on "nature house.nl" to be dog friendly, it was clear that only the extra dog surcharge was welcome here. Upon arrival, we inquired whether there were any restrictions for our dog, which were not. During our stay, the owner kept coming up with new restrictions. We were always snubbed. Her own dog jumped on our table and ate our daughter's mash. After being snubbed several times in a row, we decided to pack our bags and return home early. Although we were always polite to the owner until then, we did confront her with our grievances. She reacted very bluntly. According to her, her B&B is not intended for travelers in our family situation. Our proposal to refund the unused overnight stay was also ignored.

A wonderful place to relax! we had a great weekend. b and b are easily accessible by bike. breakfast was TOP! and the room was also very neat. unfortunately the weather was a bit less, but despite that we had a wonderful weekend with the kids. thank you for your hospitality.

Stayed 2 nights at B&B Trouw Borst. We were received very hospitably, the room was very spacious and looked excellent! We could sit in the sun along the Rhine, in the beautiful green garden! The breakfast was very well arranged, there was a bit of everything! We enjoyed! We will be staying again soon!
