Missed opportunity. The reviews I read before booking were way better than our experience. When asked what we could have for lunch, Broekhuizen Castle was recommended, which is * not * open * on Tuesdays and also * never * was, when inquiring from staff there (a conference was going on). On return B&B reported to owner who responded lightly with: "oh, missed opportunity" As a guest we thought that after a three-hour walk, without any result, we thought a little different about it! After a receipt where the payment was discussed more or less immediately, that was not pleasant. Unfortunately, the owner also decided to open the room / outside door when we were out for dinner. When I pay for a room, I assume that, unless this is notified in advance, people will not just come into my room or open a door. The breakfast was (again compared to what I had read) really disappointing, and was brought as agreed at 9 o'clock, with the announcement that she would pick it up again at 10 o'clock ?! Check-out is according to the site between 10 and 11, so why the rush? In short: indeed a missed opportunity. Pity. I had just booked here because of the "great" reviews. Not again. 3 stars is purely because of the location.

Unfortunately, I met unreasonable owners, who had very special “prince types”: Although I would arrive by bicycle, I was suddenly no longer welcome when they heard that I had also made part of my trip by car. After that the contact was very rigid and not hospitable.

I have written a review before but would like to add one more. I am here almost every month because of my education, and recently I am no longer allowed to sugar. Without having to ask, I got an adapted breakfast this morning with still a lot of choice and no sugar at all! I love coming here, it is spacious, quiet, clean, cozy and I even come here on vacation. And I'm really very critical when it comes to locations, so that's a double compliment!
