This fall, the Elbow Church was once again a (kind of) Armando Museum (along with the exhibition in Museum Flehite, a two-minute walk away. Those who know the church before the devastating fire in 2007, (almost) don't know him again: so much light and space Two armando works can be seen that survived the fire (but do not ask how) plus some of his sculptures.The most striking and also large work is the installation Schwarzes Wasser by the German artist Raffael Rheinsberg that has been compiled from the remains, say: the remains of the burnt-down museum, an impressive and also saddening amount of scorched remnants that once again show the temporary character of art.

If you visit the Flehite museum, you also have access to the exhibition in the Elbow Church with that admission ticket. This building went up in flames in 2007. But it has since been rebuilt for a few years. It has become a nice light (through a partially glass roof) exhibition space. The whole of new and old elements is stylishly combined. There are some sculptures by Armado and in the middle there is a tableau of half burnt remains on the floor brought together by a German artist. Furthermore, it is currently a large empty space.
