Delicious dinner menu. The interior of this restaurant is very tasteful and modern. Spacious with great panorama view of the beach. Beautiful. Dog friendly.
Republiek Bloemendaal, is my most favorite place at the moment. After their renovation, done by an amazing architect, this place has become a “beach club dream.” From the interior to the food, everything is just so fine.
It’s the one place where you can be all day long; either for a breakfast at the fireplace, for a lunch within the restaurant, or for a rosé during the sunset on one of their daybeds.
The ambiance at Republiek Bloemendaal is relaxed, comfortable, and enlightening.
The interior and usage of space have been done so well, that the building blends in perfectly with the natural tones of the beach.
To me this place just feels, “extraordinarily different” than any other new places in the Netherlands, it has an almost non-Dutch allure. Yet this atmosphere attracts all sorts of people.
Their food is delicious, as everything is prepared freshly. After having been here quite often, the menu has become a bit small to me though. Fortunately, I am a huge fan of their burrata. Their bisque soup is pretty good too.
If you’re looking for the one place to go and lounge during a relaxed beach, look no further it should be Republiek.
Very nice renovated place. Brand new and classy. Owners or manager very friendly.
Delicious pizza for a decent price.
Negative points are :
the service super Slow and young inexperienced people.
But The worst is the beach service guy which is totally unfriendly and rude.
We were obliged to take our beds by ourselves and when we asked to open the parasol for us he just said he was busy and incapable to do it.
So my wife with our little 3 month baby were asked to do it themselves.
Totally unacceptable for a place like that and for the 25 euro we paid !!
Can only really rate this 2 stars. One for the location, decor & decent coffee. Two for the inexperienced yet eager to please waitstaff.
The reality is this place would not survive if it was located anywhere else. It will always be successful purely due to the location.
My partner & I just went for breakfast, leaving with a pretty bad taste in our mouths. The food was average to say the least yet the chef obviously considers himself a leading light on the culinary scene. My partner tried to order a side of speck with his French toast & was told the chef does not allow this, you can only remove ingredients never add as it messes with his 'vision'. Instead he received 2 pieces of claggy French toast, no no sauce & definitely no speck. My dish was equally disappointing, under cooked pancakes with a tiny amount of sauce. When we asked for more sauce I overheard the chef questioning what dish it was for, as if it was for the French toast it would be a hard no - god forbid we would add sauce to improve on his woeful cooking.
Sure, the Dutch are not known for their cuisine & being Australian we do have high standards when it comes to brunch, but the attitude of the chef is what made this experience worth sharing. This isn't a fine dining restaurant, it is basic food done poorly by a chef who has a chip on his shoulder. Shame to see other reviews saying the manager backs this guy up, with such an amazing interior you could have someone doing really incredible small plate, high end cuisine for the same price. Again, this place definitely would not survive without the great view & interior.
Definitely go for an afternoon drink but leave the food for one of the amazing restaurants in Haarlem that have chefs who cook with love & care about their customers opinion.
They got a renovation in 2020, I love the decor. Huge windows, unlimited seaview. Menu is Ok, I visit the place for the atmosphere.
