De Bokkedoorns offers an unbelievable experience. The location is a delight as it is nestled in the dunes of the National park on the banks of a lake. Aside from the this the service food and experience is what you would expect from a 2star Michelin. All of the dishes drew their inspiration from the surround areas but were still very accessible. Of course it is expensive but if you want to enjoy a 3+ hour dinner in a magnificent setting there is nowhere better in the area perhaps even The Netherlands....

Hidden between the Dutch dunes, their is this wonderful 2 Michelin stars restaurant. Since 1991 it has remained a 2 star restaurant. Which by itself is a great achievement! We were greated at the door by two hostesses and guided to a lovely round table in the corner. Mr Peter Bruins is the head of the staff tonight. And gave us marvelous explanation of the wine arrangement and 7 course menu. The restaurant has an warm, modern and colourfull interieur. Which makes you really feel comfortable and welcome. And because of all these wonderfull thing together, the price isn't cheap. But well worth it!

Great experience at this restaurant. Nice winepairing for the food. Service was not fully up to 2 stars level at the moment we visited though
