Wonderful, small local market with organic food. Fresh fish, good choice of fruits and vegetables, cheese and meats, canned foods, etc. Lovely staff and ample opening hours. You can't go wrong here.

Yesterday for the first time to Marqt Heemstede. What a disappointment; first found fresh chocolate truffles that were one month out of date in the refrigerator. Declared to a saleswoman. Then I bought Prawns from the freezer. At home on the receipt I saw that I had received a discount, a so-called limited shelf life discount. So then I went to look in my freezer and it turned out that they shouldn't be consumed 9 months ago! I called the branch. First I got a female supervisor who said: The date does not matter if it is in the freezer, even if the due date is 9 months ago. I said I wanted to speak to someone else. I now got a male supervisor, who tried to convince me that it would be the packing date. He was lukewarm when I mentioned what the lady had said for him. Finally he looked in their freezer and saw that I was right. The explanation was that they keep making mistakes with the date sticker and that it is still of good quality. Difficult to believe because of the comment of the earlier person. but because there were more packages with very strange data, I just accepted it. I will never come here again.

Nice large organic store with a wide range. Everything you need can be found there. Just a pity that you cannot pay in cash!
