Nice experience. Very large site, with various accessible buildings, ships and the submarine the Tuna. Everywhere old navy people, who tell their personal story. The major elements surrounding the Battle of Chatham and the Battle of the Java Sea are unclear in terms of placement in the timeline and historical importance.

Nice museum, extensive well-organized collection. Various locations spread across the site. Ships and submarine fun to visit, recommended!

Very nice museum. Lots to see and experience. Very nice volunteers who can tell you a lot. Also very nice to go with children. We spent quite a few hours with our boys (4 & 6).

Here you can find the Marine history in beautiful paintings for throwing old cannons, and more recently weaponry of the navy. There is a structure of a naval ship from the 80s and a complete submarine on the dry and 3 cylinder type. the oldest ship is the scorpion a ram ship from 1880 plusminus This one has a very long location on the zuiderstraat in Den Helder as a navy marva lodging ship the ship was gray but is now apparently brought back in the original colors next to it is a minesweeper from the 1930s. It has escaped the Japanese as a disguised floating island. If you want to watch everything carefully, you can easily walk around for a day.

Large museum about the navy on a large site. Especially the story of the men in the submarine Tuna was very interesting.
