It is always nice and pleasant to bite a Haring or eat a Kibbeling at Johan, the other products are also fresh and of good quality. Here we have a really cozy old-fashioned Amsterdam herring stable where many original Amsterdammers from all walks of life find their way, when it is busy and there are many regular customers, jokes and laughter are not over the air. Wonderful atmosphere and a lot of nice people who come there. Johan is outside being a warm and sociable host, the prototype of a full-blown fishmonger. A professional who purchases and prepares his products with all dedication and seriousness. De Haring is freshly cleaned and is always of good taste and quality, the Kibbeling is always made from fresh Cod and is delicious. These are surely his most favorite products, it is impossible to put everything here, but the other things are also prepared with the same care and seriousness. I have been coming there for many years and with great regularity, Johan also has more regular customers who come to him a lot. Recommended, but not for curmudgeons and people who don't have the money for fish, because fish simply costs money, and a visit to a fish stable remains something for people who are willing to pay for it. All value for money.

You can get the tastiest fish in the Netherlands at this fishmonger! I love this guy's shrimp croquettes and our daughter 2.5 of his fish chips. Johan is a real entrepreneur! Knows his customers and orders and anticipates them every day. It's a party to get fish from him.
