Hotel Mariënhage Eindhoven

This hotel is a really beautiful place, the location is in the middle of the city. The room was lovely with a perfect shower and bath. I recommend this place to everyone!

The room was extremely nice (we stayed in the Heavenly Suite), but there were a lot of disappointments while we stayed there. First, we noticed right away that the floor was quite dirty like it hadn't been vacuumed for a while. There was dust bunnies', dirt, even a piece of trash on the floor and stairs. We were going to let it go, but then we took the plug out of the bathtub and there was a band aid left in there! So then we notified the front desk and asked for the room to be cleaned again. Due to this we had to leave for bit a while they cleaned again which was of course a bummer. After it was cleaned it was better, but then later we found one of the sinks to be clogged when we turned the faucet on, and food was even coming up through it, like previous guests were maybe pouring food down it. The bed was also too firm for our comfort, but I know some people prefer that. Another thing, is that I purposely booked this room for the luxurious bathtub, but there wasn't even enough warm water to fill it. So after it was not even half full, the warm water ran out, so I had a sort of luke-warm bath. However the second day there was enough hot water, so then it was ok. The front desk worker was very kind, and the bathtub was very nice and big whish were things I liked. However for all of our inconvenience we were only given a mini bottle of champagne as compensation. All in all it was a cool location in a church and a unique room, but we will not stay here again. Hopefully others will have a better experience than we did. For what we paid and for a rated 4-5 star hotel, I would have expected much better.

Very nice stay despite the weird period.

The hotel was beautiful and clean. It was a mere 15 minutes walk from the train station and centre! Even if you didn’t walk, there is many transport links to get you to where you want to be! The staff was friendly, helpful and very professional. We know that when we return, we will definitely be staying here again!

Great hotel, wonderful architecture, and spacious room (can only judge for room size L). WiFi signal was great and working even with VPN was no problem at all. The staff was very nice and helped where they could. Plus were the windows in the room that allowed for fresh air (great especially during Covid) and the luggage storage after check-out. There is only room for improvement regarding Covid measures (open breakfast buffet does not seem like the best option these days and the staff did neither wore masks, nor did necessarily keep a distance), or a bit more quiet situation in the morning. The delivery or collection (?) every morning in the courtyard was quite loud even with closed windows. Nevertheless, already recommended the hotel to others. It is very special and worth a stay.
