Watersportcentrum De Lauwer

Rented a Polyvalk on Friday June 19, 2020. No life jackets on board; there was also no mention that we could rent it. Got stuck for 10 minutes across their harbor (250 meters). Attempted to get in contact by telephone three times. Was not recorded, only voicemail. Got help from a sloop that passed but couldn't pull us away. My wife took him back to the Lauwer and the first thing she heard when she indicated that we were detained was: "That will cost you 150 Euro". Very unfriendly employees and owner. Also lie because, according to them, the KNRM charges double this. And lie to the camping boss where we stayed because they indicated that they had 2 hours of work (15 back and forth including pulling away). Worthless company! And considering the other reviews I'm not alone .....

I've been here for 8 years in a row for sure. Simply because it's just the bomb here. I go here every year with my friends, sometimes twice a year. The instructors are really super duper nice and fun. They entertain us every day. You can not only sail here, but also windsurf. I think that's super cool! You will certainly make a lot of friends here at this sailing school. Everyone knows how to make it a great party time and time again. So if you want a pleasant week and also want to sail / windsurf. Scammers !!! They charged my parents no less than 150 euros to pull them out in sight of the school, within 15 minutes after we got stuck with our rental falcon. Scandalous treatment, very unfriendly customer !!! Moreover, untrue to mention that the KNRM would charge 300 euros. Later they understood from this organization that they consist of volunteers and do everything for free! Hunm Their sailing ended in a big hangover. A pity because hunwhun Groningen was a lot of fun and all the other Groningers they got to know were very nice.

I'm really excited about The Laurel. A super sailing and surf school where children and teenagers have a great time on the water and beyond. Instructors who are well aware of their internal training at The Laurel of their responsibility for the children, a good atmosphere and the transfer of good sailing techniques.
