There is a sign on the facade saying Jordanees Historisch Museum. No other indication that there is a museum here. The place is closed, no opening hours indicated. It used to be a pawnshop. In the window information about a private tour of the area that can be booked.

What a joy to walk around there and to visit the warm-hearted and always hospitable real Jordanians. I had the privilege of giving a lecture in the autumn of 2018 about my book that Johan and Ilse have in the museum and that are also selling. How I felt at home during the short tour and with and with my own people. A dying breed. The Jordanian. I was also born and raised in the Jordaan. And it always feels like coming home when I am back in my own familiar neighborhood among my own people. I wish you dear 'Johan and Ilse vd Horn' a lot of success in your 'Jordaanes Historisch Museum' and I advise everyone who comes to the Jordaan to definitely visit it and not just to taste the friendly atmosphere and cosiness, but also to marvel at all the beautiful and special objects that are also for sale.
