I have been enjoying guitar lessons with Joep for a number of years now. I have made a lot of progress in my guitar playing and have learned many new playing techniques, which now makes it much easier to play along with songs that I hear. Joep has a large repertoire of blues and folk songs, but also likes to search for songs that I provide myself on request. It is nice that he also knows a lot about musicians and their life story - so you also get some context with it. It is also very handy that he records a video or audio clip after class, so that you can listen to the songs you have done during the lesson at home and watch them while practicing. I can highly recommend the lessons!

After a hiatus of 7 years not having touched a guitar, decided to take lessons with Joep. Very nice approach, so that I get more and more motivated to play again. Currently working on Mississippi Delta Blues, from which we slowly work up to modern blues. Good connection via Skype, and after class always a video in which everything is explained again. Recommended!

Since a few months lessons with Joep and I really notice that I have already made enormous progress! He teaches me different techniques and different styles. The nice thing is that he is always open to his own input of songs. Furthermore, he explains clearly during the lesson and he is always very enthusiastic. He is also very flexible and I personally find that an advantage! Finally, I am very happy that he sends a video after class in which he summarizes what we have done during the lesson and in which he plays the songs very quietly. Top teacher!

Joep's lessons are very effective, after a few lessons you will notice a big difference in your level and fun. What are lessons to make up for? - First, the thoughtful choice for the songs you learn and the tips that Joep gives you - Second, that you get a playful sense of Joep's impressive musical knowledge, without being too involved with theory. - Also important: Joep is always positive and has an infectious enthusiasm. Recommended!
