Good good and berg friendly staff

We made a reservation. Arrived in time. Were told that they do not honor online reservations. They gave out table away because those people had been waiting a long time. It was deafeningly loud, the service was chaotic, there were clothes, umbrellas all over the floor, men smoking and blocking the entrance. The young woman, long black hair was unbelievably rude and condescending. We ate there a while back - the food was mediocre to say the least. There are many better places around in Bezuidenhout. It is expensive. Don't waste your money.

I wish I could rate this place with zero stars, because I absolutely would for Bon Vivant. I made an online reservation three days prior to our expected dinner to celebrate a birthday, and on the Friday evening we arrived perfectly on time at 19:30. I even got a confirmation by email that very morning reminding us and confirming our reservation for that evening. The waitress greeted us in the most blunt and rude manner and told us that they gave our table away and wouldn't honor the online reservation I made because of how full it already was. The place was in utter disarray with staff running around like headless chickens, coats and umbrellas were carelessly strewn on the floor by the front door that made it very difficult to navigate inside, and there were drunken and disorderly buffoons blocking the doorway and reception area. Might I add that the noise inside the restaurant was absolutely deafening - I've been to nightclubs that were more tame than the zoo here. I'm surprised we even thought of coming back here, because last time the food was average at best and the service was rude and sluggish. This is the last place on Earth you should ever consider visiting if you want to enjoy a Friday evening out for dinner - there are so many other better restaurants dotting the area immediately around Bon Vivant that are really worth checking out. They say "Bon Vivant," I say "Bon Voyage."

Great restaurant, with awesome food and good service. Decent prices and a not to big but ok menu. So a good place to eat
