Great for entertaining with children. It is not sea and the bottom is a bit muddy here and there, but you get used to everything

Want to go for a swim in the river? This is possible here at the two beaches and under the trees and bushes. Via reasonably walkable paths (one through the bushes and higher plants to the more sheltered beach, and one through the low grass and field to the bare beach) from the dike down you are right on the water. No toilet available. Strip of sand under the influence of ebb and flow, and there is a large natural lawn / lawn. Swimming is fine, but don't go too far. In high summer there are also jetskis, watercraft and speed boats. Note: tidal movement (ebb and flow) and strong currents due to the busy inland waterways on site + narrow navigation channel + groynes, plus a rapidly descending river bed in the direction of the navigation channel (gets deep quickly). Swimming diploma recommended, and for small children armbands / butterflies are an absolute must. No first aid post or supervision available
