Beautiful place to start our visit to Zaanse Schans with its scenic wind mills. The owner has a work area where pewter souvenirs are made.

This Map location now seems to be telling me 'Location unknown!!' why ? infact there are around six Windmill locations here that have mysteriously suddenly gone to 'Unknown' [Edit] Thank you for your help Ronald, they now seem to have fixed the problem. Dj.

I arrived too late to make purchases. Is there any way to contact her via email or whatapp? Small objects but I wanted to. Thank you P.S. perhaps the store was small but more characteristic and artisanal.

All kinds of tin objects. It's not so strange to think that they have it, or can pour it.

Zaanse-Schans is an open-air museum - a folklore village dedicated to the life of the Dutch village of the 17th-18th centuries. This is not only an exposition of wooden architecture, including windmills, houses, souvenir shops, and crafts workshops. The historical building of the shop-workshop refers to the national monument of the second half of the XVIII century. Earlier, there was a tea house, which was moved to Zaanse Schans in 1968 from the west side in Zandam. It is believed that this is one of the last foundries in the Netherlands. Visitors are very welcome, free demonstrations are held daily. Everything is done by hand, the machine does not work. When pouring tin, ancient forms are used, one of which dates back to 1697. A very large selection of tin products for the purchase of souvenirs and even utensils for everyday use.
