Part greenhouse, part farm, part casually fancy restaurant De Kas can be found in a quieter part of Amsterdam. The ingredients are extremely fresh and the space quite beautiful, but the service and final dishes don't seem to live up to other parts of the experience. At times the concept and story behind the food seem to outweigh the actual end result, leading to an enjoyable if not necessarily exciting meal.

The service is great, the place is cozy, very romantic... the food is delicious, we recommend the specialities from the menu, pork and ribs are the best!! Beer and deli wine!!! 2 people 47€ with tip

Went here last night for dining, a spectacular location without a doubt. We went for a 5 course meal which was just enough for a big eater as I am. Flavours were well balanced and very pleasing for the eye. Paired with fine wines, sourced from surprising locations. Two dishes with langoustine and chicken/iberico was overly salted for my taste. Which is a shame, I hope the kitchen-crew can do something about this. That's why I rate it one star less. I've read some reviews about rude staff which I can not imagine. The staff was very knowledgeable and tentative and definitely knew what they were doing.
