Ron Gastrobar Indonesia Laren

In my hometown Amsterdam I am "surrounded" by Ron Gastrobars. Silly enough I have never been to one, because I can whenever I want I guess (and I will one day). My Mom lives in Laren, is Indo and had her birthday so we had a great lunch at Ron Gastrobar Indonesia in Laren. I would definitely recommend. The dishes are delicious!

Hubby ordered the rijsttafel menu for home takeaway. Overall quality pretty good food and I am originally from Singapore so I know how Indonesian food should taste like but was disappointed with 2 dishes. The gado gado was only cabbage with peanut sauce. Anyone who google gado gado knows what it contains. I could just buy from supermarket cabbage and pour peanut sauce on it. The other disappointing dish was the sayur lodeh. It was super diluted and bland. Pictures shown as proof.

Well if you can not sit in that beautiful case then you just get it at home ... I picked up the box Nasi Rames meat in Laren! All trays neatly in the box, the trays that need to be warm can be put in the oven for half an hour, the rest remains cold! It tasted excellent, nothing too spicy, but it still comes with delicious sambal ... 🤤🌶 rendang, chicken, lamb, all creamy and tasty!
