Top school!
Giang Trang (11/28/2020)
Past year at the Munnikenheide College (see review) from cadre to mavo-t. So that's why I spent 2 years at HAVO level (2018-2020 corona diploma) from class H5A who is now studying HBO-ICT (2020-2024). Why I chose HAVO see the bottom of this review! The beginning of school time was a special year due to the 50th anniversary of the KSE. In those 2 years I had experienced many things, but first about school. It is quite a modern school that is constantly innovating except for computers outside the classroom, horrible, but if all goes well, future students will all get a laptop. They also have countless activities you can do such as: musical, the Drawing and Painting Studio, Funlab and Sport +. You can also follow Business School and / or econasium. You can also get language certificates from Delf, Goethe, Anglia and Cambridge. There are also minor subjects such as computer science! In addition, "Student's move" is the best idea ever. You follow a program of your choice and are therefore flexible. Examples are a mentor / coach conversation, support lessons, working on the profile paper, self-study, exam training, study coaching, working on an extra subject and lessons, etc. These activities and other messages are clearly presented on screens around the buildings. Furthermore, there is also event boards with internal and external information such as side jobs, HBO open days, etc. lockers cost € 8 annually and you must use your key (Munnikenheide electronics: cards). The teaching method and the approach that teachers give here are also different (Too sweet, too strict, little / bad explanation, no good lesson preparation on material). All my years of sitting here, bullying is also very small, no discrimination on clothing and so on, there is rarely a fight in the canteen. Now my experience during the KSE period. Before I went to HAVO, I looked at what KSE can offer me. I also read about Business School that you can follow at 4 havo. So I wanted to take part in it to get a taste of how the business world works together with profile E&M, but it was full, but thanks to my motivation I was happy in it (class remains the same at 5 havo). Each lesson is 60 minutes. My courses consists of: - English language and literature - Dutch language and literature - German language and literature - Economy - Business economics - Mathematics A. - History - Cultural and artistic education - Philosophical educational education - Civics For the first few months I had a lot of trouble answering various questions from the new books such as history or philosophy. After that it went fine. The same year I also had to do an internship. You get a part of school that you can choose and the rest yourself. For example, I helped a church choir in the Lambertus church from school. Personally, I think it is a pity that I did not participate much in all kinds of activities, if I had already been in HAVO from the start, I certainly would. The school trips of KSE are very well organized and there was a lot on offer in different countries (#LondonGang). Exam year was special, no central exam and online lessons on TEAMS. So nice #NoStress free diploma. Pros: - Numerous activities for your development - Laptops - wide range of different curriculums - Near Appie Cons: - Quite busy during breaks and when classes are moved - No free tea, paninnis too expensive :( - 70% of the computers are broken - Little preparation of the learning goals for HAVO when you transfer Also at this school our mentor says that we were the best class, was to be expected as a Business class. Of course, there are also typical students here, but more cultured than Munnikenheide College. Why I chose HAVO is to gain more general knowledge, especially with philosophy such as Aristotle, Epicurus, Nietzsch, Marx, etc. Also getting acquainted with ethical questions. It is a shame that this is not in VMBO school. Getting to HBO quickly is also a factor. My next review will probably be HBO-ICT sometime in 2024+! This was it, bye.
