Hotelschip Mars

Beautiful ship, lovely people. Couldn't have found a better spot.

We had an amazing gathering on the boat. I contacted them thru Airbnb and they were willing to delay their trip out of Groningen so that we could bring our group and do a big hackathon in Groningen. And at the end, they invited us out to take a boat ride up the river for the afternoon! it was AMAZING! We were playing music while floating down the canal. And they even painted us a picture!!! The only issue we had was that the wifi wasn't working, we had LTE coverage and there were cafe's nearby, but make sure if you need wifi to talk to them about it!

The hotel ship is an ideal group location. We were 17 people and there was plenty of room. The beds sleep well, the kitchen is well equipped and spacious and the host Jan is very friendly and helpful. The boat is beautiful and cozy inside. Furthermore, in a prime location in the middle of the city! I recommend it !!

Spent a few days on Mars twice during Eurosonic. Super. Jan and his wife are the best host and lady you can imagine. The beds, showers and lounge are fine and a 5-minute walk from the Grote Markt.
