I am very positive about the teaching system at a Waldorf School, but it is really NOT recommended for interns. LIO interns who work independently in the classroom, and do the same work as a paid teacher, receive zero compensation, which they are actually entitled to, no travel expenses and not even a Christmas package! What a lack of appreciation for young people who embrace the teaching profession, which is precisely what is lacking. Schools receive a subsidy from the government for LIOs (Teachers in Training), but the LIO does not even receive an internship or travel allowance from that ... It is just a free teacher for a number of classes. Nice and motivating. I would say no internship here!
