This afternoon we bought over 750 grams of smoked eel for which we paid more than 25 euros. When we got home we thought we would eat an eel sandwich, which is an exception for our wallets due to the high price for eel. When we opened the packaging, the smell of smoke that was too strong came towards us, we hardly smelled the smell of eel itself. As if the eel had hung in the smoke of a burning house, so dirty. When the eel was skinned, they also turned out to be very dry. Eel should be fat, all fat was smoked from the eel, the eel has been smoked for way too long. Moreover, we cannot return to Elburg anytime soon, because we live in Assendelft. A waste of our money! Bad eel smokehouse !!!
20 euros, pay for a pound of eel that is old and dry. Which also stinks.
