If you request a quote because your central heating boiler suddenly stopped working (after it had been maintained by another company six months before), and you receive a call saying that they cannot help you because "you are not a customer", then you will never become a customer!

Contacted the company due to resume malfunction. Asked for a price indication. They could not have indicated that, should have come to see. We have asked if there are costs involved. So that was call-out costs and we agreed with this. Company does not refer to general terms and conditions (oral or written), says nothing about research costs, etc. After the mechanic has been and looked, the technician mentions an amount that we do not agree with (amount too high). We indicate not to do anything and charge travel costs. Mechanic has a work order signed where no amount is stated. But later we get a bill where call-out costs + research costs are charged. We have neatly called the company, but they do not want to adjust the invoice. So make sure you don't get unexpected costs. So always ask for confirmation what is and is not being charged. And in writing (for example by e-mail). I think this needs to be communicated more clearly to the customer. Consciously or unconsciously, the company does not make a price indication and therefore the customer does not know where it stands. I understand that it is not possible to state exactly what it would cost, but as a technician who has been in that profession for years, he must be able to indicate how much time he has spent and what it will cost. The customer has no other choice to come by anyway. And later the customer receives nothing for his own account. Again, it's not about amount. It is about clear communication, agreeing price, delivering products / services and only then sending the invoice. Also an advice to the company; even if the customer does not agree, please put everything back together and close it for safety reasons. Little children are walking around.
