Restaurant West80

A very attractive and fun themed restaurant. After a warm welcome led to our table. Menu looks good and the food was very tasty! There is even a nice, modestly furnished play area for the little ones! Why then only 2 stars? At the time of the visits it was moderately busy, partly due to corona measures not extremely busy. There seemed to be plenty of staff running around. Still, it took almost an hour for our appetizer to be included. Then the rest of our food was brought in very late too. The staff, very friendly, but unfortunately also very inexperienced (that's how it came across, messy and a little chaotic at times). That may also be true given that west80 has only recently opened. The concept is a lot of fun and quite unique in my opinion. I hope that after a while the quality of the service improves. Perhaps this can be accelerated by more experience on the work floor .. or by dividing tasks differently .. because I think the rest of the ingredients for success are there. Who knows a 5 star rating in the future :)

I understand west80 opened in January this year. They may still have to deal with some start-up problems because, partly due to corona, they have been unable to open much. Unfortunately, our experience was not positive. Upon entering you will be welcomed and a lady brought us to a table. When seated at the table, the table next to us was asked if they agreed. There was really not enough (1.5 meters) space in between. The table agreed, but we were not asked. I had reserved in advance so I actually expect that they can place us with due observance of the measures. And a whole part of the case was still empty. The operation seems a bit inexperienced. She said she would be right there to take the order, but she eventually forgot. We waited 45 minutes for her to come and take the order. We ordered a children's dish for the children, but after 5 minutes she came to say that it had been removed from the menu. We eat vegetarian so there was little choice left. When drinking, she first had to see if they would have it. The dishes are okay but nothing more than that. Not a quality for which I go to a restaurant. I also got the impression that quite a bit came out of "a jar". The fries, on the other hand, are really delicious. We found the dessert buffet to be disappointing. Especially whole cakes. In terms of ice cream, there was chocolate, vanilla and hazelnut. I still understand the first 2, but hazelnut is not a common taste. I'd rather choose strawberry. My kids liked the children's area. All in all, not a WOW feeling for us. Too bad because I think it really has potential with a few adjustments.

Nice restaurant. The property has been completely refurbished, with a playground downstairs in the basement. I only missed a signpost to the toilet 🙈 Good value for money. I had delicious quesadilla beforehand, a burger as a main course. Plenty of meat, well filled! Tasty fries with herbs. Nice ice cream, unfortunately the donuts were dry .. The staff is very friendly, but sometimes very jovial. And the entire service took care of all the tables, so that people often ask twice if everything tastes / is satisfactory and if you still want to drink. All in all, a great evening and a great experience.

A fantastic family restaurant with games room and dessert buffet. Recommended! Had a nice dinner and a nice evening, kids really liked it

On Sunday we had dinner with 4 people, very friendly staff, were nicely helped by a lady in training, we thought that was quite nice. We think the menu is sufficient, it is a good concept and we liked the food. The dessert is super arranged and well set up, we will definitely come back!
