The stinkier little brother to the MuZEEum. You get both for the price of admission (you can buy at either but De Kazematten has shorter hours and is reportedly flooded out from October through April). If they aren't too sensitive to smells, this is a solid place to bring the kids. The cave-like casmates have games and a few rat-narrated films. This place gives a much quicker story of the town and its wars.

Very photogenic place in Vlissingen. the tunnel continues to a picturesque jetty. The casemates themselves are accessible as a museum, which is amazingly interesting and fun.

Interesting to see, giving a piece of history, to our children, 8 and 5 years old, fun assignments in the form of a comic strip, friendly help, also afterwards a lot of attention for us and the children
