The campsite itself is a paradise for children. Really recommended. However, what puts a damper on the review is their car policy. There is a one-hour window that you can enter the campsite and an hour off. They are very strict about it, which means that you start your vacation and end it with stress. I have read dissatisfied people on several major forums. People are so dissatisfied with it that they don't want to go back. However, complaints about this are not heard. What also worried me was the night the campsite was under water. She may be to blame for that part. It had been an extremely dry period followed by a cloud break. Puddles of 10 cm water, tents that were covered. That is nature. However, the people who wanted to leave because of this had to wade through the puddles with their things and children, while it was still very hard thunderstorms. Water and thunder is not a good combination. This really should have come with help. I also recommend making a plan for this.

Wonderful campsite to spend your holiday with small children. No garish entertainment team, but natural play areas, sandboxes and a real mud pool to splash in. For the little ones a shallow pool and for the older ones (that includes the mums and dads) a pool to splash in. They regularly organize activities, such as cycling together to a nice outdoor playground or a stream to splash in, or with the nature guide to discover animals. And do not forget the campfire lesson where it is explained how to make a campfire and afterwards you can do it yourself (the children). This year a real carpentry place where the little man could saw and carpenter himself! There is a firefighting place on every field and wood is cheaply available at the wood shed on the campsite. Stoke a nice fire, bake sandwiches and make marshmallows on the campfire. Pick up sandwiches from the bakery in the morning at the canteen (order the day before) and a nice place to explore the area by bike. The owners are very nice people and really make something beautiful out of this campsite. We have been here for the second time this year.

If you're looking for a large, busy site with lots of kids, this is it. In itself quite nice fields, with each field its own play equipment. You really are all around the playground, something I don't like as much. I prefer a campsite with random pitches - ideally that you can choose yourself instead of numbers and marked spots. The campsite does look a bit hip, like a conceived commercial concept. I make a parallel with Floortje Dessing's camping abroad. (Although it was a bit worse with mainly Amsterdammers, all kinds of entertainment, workshops, performances, markets and even a weekly disco until late at night - which we turned out to be right next to ... But this aside). Regarding the plumbing, no pluses by me unfortunately. The showers were in a kind of plastic building. So sweaty in the summer. And the showers only have one button so you cannot set the shower temperature. We were there in the super hot weeks of 2020, and the shower temperature was set to winter! The water was so hot that our toddler couldn't go under it. Even I, who like a hot shower, thought it was a tough temperature. If you choose a fixed shower water temperature, at least adjust it to the outside temperature! There were also festival toilets on the site ??? Those cramped, dark toilets where you inevitably bump your elbows and / or knees, and where you question hygiene while sitting down. Fortunately, the pool was cool, although it became very busy by noon with running, screaming and jumping children. But yes, you can expect that from a children's campsite. Fortunately our toddler enjoyed it! Also from the climbing frames, the swing, the mud pool, sandpit and other play areas. What I also found a minus point is the car policy. You are not allowed to go there by car, not even to put your things on the spot and then park your car again. If you have a large De Waard tent that weighs 65kg alone, plus all your loose stuff, that's really a disaster. Especially when it rains, or as in our case, when it is 35 degrees. And lugging around ... I understand that you want a car-free campsite, but loading and unloading should really be allowed, even if only at 1 or 2 fixed times during the day. We now know that we no longer want these kinds of campsites, too hip, too well thought-out, too much concept and too many children. But if you want a lot of people around, and the above is not a problem, you are fine here.

A very pleasant campsite for families with children up to 10 years old. The campsite is car free and has cozy fields arranged by age group. There is a campfire place on every field which is widely used. Lots of fun playgrounds and a program for the children such as playing in the mud and looking for animals in the forest (but then hipper names). To cool off there is a swimming pool with a paddling pool and for the colder days there is a canteen where the children can play while you enjoy a cup of coffee (consumption not required)

If you are looking for a campsite for the family, this is a wonderful place with spacious pitches and play facilities for the children on every field. During our stay during the Kiind weekend there were also all kinds of fun activities for children and adults to do. Recommended!
